After a full week of excitement in Hamburg, the fun continued in our favorite city – Berlin! People from all over the world joined us for three days of sightseeing, partying and friendship during our Post Convention Trip

Seeing some of the sights that can’t be missed while in the Hauptstadt
But staying true to the most German thing of all – one liter beers
Ten of our members were fortunate enough to travel to Hamburg for the Rotary International Convention to meet people from all over the world, hear inspiring talks, participate in engaging workshops and dance the nights away. Congratulations to those who were in the Host Organizing Committee and were able to pull off this great event!
A fun Sunday spent with our friends in Buch, making and even flying some paper kites!
For a second time we made our way up north to Eutin for a weekend of fun and team-building! We braved the cold with the help of music, walks through the woods, and -of course- a couple trips to the sauna.
Sometimes we also have to be productive: we did a few brainstorming workshops about our upcoming projects ranging from Buch to the next steps for Atelier 15 – stay tuned!

After a lot of hard work and a full team effort, our Atelier 15 Art Auction was a huge success! Under our slogan #bvisible, we raised over 13,000 Euros for the socially integrative organisation Gitschiner 15 through this event, auctioning off the art created in the institution by people in difficult situations such as homelessness, and with our benefit dinner last summer. All proceeds were donated to the institution and the artists. For more pictures, check out out A15 sub-page

This past weekend our Rotaract Club had its first-ever #memberweekend! On Friday evening, we travelled by car to Eutin, next to Hamburg, where we spent the time at a beautiful farmhouse next to the sea. On our way to Eutin, some of us sat together in the car while playing the guitar and sang all the songs that hat to be sung during a car ride from Bohemian Rhapsody to Wonder Wall. From Saturday on, we went swimming on the hot summer days and played beach volleyball afterwards. There was also a beautiful garden at the house where we sat down, enjoyed the sun and had nice talks all day. During lunchtime, we cooked together for the group, had BBQ on Saturday evening and sat around the fire for roasting marshmallows. On our last day, the members discussed next years projects together in order to create further amazing moments and come togethers that will happen in the future. Looking forward to all that is to come!
Natalia Lombana Diaz from SOS Mediterranee talked to us about her work and the project in a presentation titled “Saving Lives at Sea – the Civic European Organization SOS Mediterranee”.
Some of our Memebers attended the Deuko in Cologne and had a blast! A weekend full of celebrations, inspiring presentations, meeting lots of new people, and spreading the word about our upcoming charter party.
The international rotaracters that are participating in the German Trip arrived in Berlin this weekend! Together with Rotaract Berlin, we organized a picknick at the popular Mauerpark in order to welcome our German Trip guests.
We had a productive update meeting discussing our current and upcoming projects. We came up with new marketing ideas for our charter weekend in June and further planned the stopover of the Rotaract German Trip in Berlin this weekend.
