Join us in Monbijoupark starting at 7pm for our charter weekend welcome-event, which includes a welcome drink. The evening activity will take place in the exact places where Berlin summers nights are best spent: in parks and in Spätis*.  Our Friday night welcoming party will therefore include a Späti tour, where charter guests can get to know each other and the Berlin Späti-szene in small groups. Quiz questions and photo competitions will make the tour all the more fun! Afterwards all teams will meet in a bar in Mitte.

*What is a Späti, you ask? Späti stands for “Spät-Verkauf” and refers to corner stores that are open all night. Many Spätis have become Berlin institutions and have added to their market-value by offering a diverse selection of bottled drinks, places to sit and music to dance to.

Saturday, June 2nd

Our Saturday program includes four tour options: two in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Join us for a cycling tour to the well-known and less known (but not less interesting) sights and get a feel for Berlin’s capital – a city that not only has an impressive history but is known today as a center for business, culture and politics.  Do you already know Berlin? No problem! Come with us on a tour of the infamous Spreepark, an abandoned amusement park in East Berlin, and find out more about the mystery surrounding its abrupt closing and what the city plans to do with the land in the future.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to discover Berlin’s famous street art scene. Learn about influential graffiti artists and see their work throughout the city. For those who would like to prepare for the party on Saturday night, sign up for the knot dance (Knotentanz) crash course.

For those who would like to join us for lunch between the morning and afternoon activities: we will reserve tables in a few restaurants where all can join to eat before the afternoon activities begin.

Starting at 6.30pm we welcome you to our fundraising dinner. Dinner, dancing and peppermint Schnapps will be accompanied by a raffle, which will be filled with cool, Berlin-based prizes. Proceeds will go to our two social projects: a refugee home in Berlin-Buch and Atelier 15, our project with artists from disadvantaged backgrounds. In fact, the location of our charter party, Gitschiner 15* – Zentrum für Gesundheit und Kultur gegen Ausgrenzung und Armut für Menschen, is the home of our Atelier 15 project. You will have the opportunity to learn about the project and see the Atelier 15 up close! The evening will of course include plenty of time to celebrate the founding of the club and dance until the early morning hours! The standard ticket includes dinner and an open bar for wine, beer and soft drinks.

*The Gitschiner 15 in Berlin-Kreuzberg provides its guests with support and care through the provision of meals, assistance from social workers and by offering the guests a place where they can create something in the art atelier and thereby contribute to society.
